A Heartwarming Family Thanksgiving Dinner at Emerald Pointe

For over 15 years, the staff at Emerald Pointe has been hosting a cherished tradition: the annual Family Thanksgiving Dinner. Since its start in 2008, this event has brought joy to residents and their families, even drawing relatives from out of state to reunite and celebrate together.



Initially held on one day, the dinner became so popular that it expanded to two days, allowing the staff more time to prepare and ensuring a smooth, unrushed experience. The dining room transforms into a festive haven, adorned with elegant place settings and seasonal decorations, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The highlight of the evening is the delicious feast prepared by the dietary staff, featuring classic Thanksgiving dishes like turkey, mashed potatoes, noodles, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls, and pumpkin pie. Residents eagerly anticipate this meal, not only for the flavors but for the chance to enjoy quality time with their loved ones.



This year, Emerald Pointe received numerous thank-you cards and heartfelt letters from families and residents expressing their gratitude for the memorable experience. As resident Patricia Thomas shared, “I look forward to the dinner every year. The food is delicious, and I get to spend quality time with my family. Thank you, Emerald Pointe, for doing this for us.”

A special thank you goes to the administrative and dietary staff for their dedication and hard work in making this beloved event possible year after year. We are already looking forward to next year’s celebration!
